Dave Bremson has been a firearms teacher and coach for over thirty-five years. He began his professional teaching career while serving in the United States Army upon being selected to teach at a small, specialized sniper school, working with both U.S. forces as well as allied partners. This opportunity forged his passion for teaching and learning, which continues today.
After leaving the Army, Dave earned his degree in exercise science/biomechanics from Arizona State University and embarked on a career as a strength and conditioning coach working with elite and professional athletes from a variety of sports. This experience as a teacher and coach provides his students with a unique perspective in human performance, under stress, not afforded by most firearm or defense instructors. His understanding of the physical and mental performance aspects of firearm use and the ability to communicate this to students is unique.
Dave began his personal defense journey after an incident with an "uninvited guest" in his home one night, and realizing that despite his experience and training he needed to learn more. This eventually turned in to an opportunity to teach every-day people how to prevent having the worst day of their lives and, if it happens, how to be successful physically, mentally and legally.
Dave holds certifications from many of the top organizations in the firearm training industry such as Rangemaster Advanced Instructor, Active Self Protection Instruction Certification (ASPIC), National Rifle Association Pistol and Range Safety Officer and Liberal Gun Club. He is also a certified SabreRed Pepper Spray instructor, Stop The Bleed and SOLO Wilderness Medicine Instructor in addition to other ratings. Dave is a certified Force Analyst, receiving this distinction through Force Science Institute, the premier use of force research organization in the world.
